Pakistan through to semis
Pakistan, being the only team in Group A, to have qualified for the semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy. The encounter between India and Australia was abandoned due to rain. Now the fate of these two teams reside on the results of the remaining two matches in the group. India must beat struggling yet improving West Indians, and must keep a good overall run rate.
However, India will only qualify if Australia is beaten by Pakistan, which has not been beaten in the tournament so far. Australia, on the other hand, has to beat Pakistan in order to seek a place in the semis. Australia’s fate is in their own hands. Good luck to Pakistan in the semis.
