Casey Stoner qualified on pole, in the QP session, at Phillip Island.

October 17, 2009 – Australia – Casey Stoner continued his good form of run at Phillip Island, as he qualified for pole position for the second time this season. He has enjoyed victories here in the last two seasons, and the home boy will start from pole to achieve his third consecutive victory, at the Phillip Island Circuit.

Casey Stoner’s best lap time of 1’30.341 on his Desmosedici GP9 was just 0.050s faster than nearest rival Valentino Rossi.
